Monday Night RACE INFO

Welcome to the 2024 Monday Nights  PIR Bike Race Series that begins JULY 8th and will last through August 12th. Races are held at Portland International Raceway in North Portland on a NEWLY built course. The race series is a great opportunity for novice-level riders to learn bike racing basics . Fast and fun racing for everyone. All you need is a helmet, a bike, and a sense of adventure

GETTING THERE

 

MTB REGISTRATION

- $25 PRE-REG AND $30 DAY OF REGISTRATION (Second race is $5 paid onsite) Season Pass $125

JR’s race for FREE ALL Season long(only in the junior categories, all other categories are $5 for juniors) !

Women race for $15 all season long! Season pass $90

-- UPON ARRIVAL PLEASE CHECK IN WITH REGISTRATION (EVEN IF YOU REGISTERED ONLINE)a paper waiver must be filled out onsite once for the season. 

- ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES MONDAY AT 2PM

-ONSITE REGISTRATION CLOSES 5 MINUTES BEFORE EACH HEAT

-Registration area opens at 5:00 PM, and is located off of The gravel road. just follow the signs



This is an Oregon Bicycle Racing Association Event. An Oregon Bicycle Racing Association (OBRA) license is required to race and is $5 (single-day) or $50 (annual). OBRA licenses at available at the race or at www.obra.org .  Numbers Plates will be used and placement will be on the handlebars on the front of bike. The season series will start (July 8th).

Approved helmets are required.

All OBRA Racing Rules apply.

Portland International Raceway Rules and Regulations:
In accordance with FAA regulations, PIR does not permit the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems for any type of commercial photography or videography at any time at the facility. Pets are allowed at PIR. Please consider event noise before bringing pets that may be sensitive to loud sounds. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Owners take full responsibility for their pets. Alcohol may only be purchased on site from the PIR-contracted food and service vendor, Ovations. Outside alcohol is prohibited from all PIR property. All Portland city parks (including PIR), recreation areas, and natural areas are smoke free.

OBRA and the organizers of this race do not provide insurance coverage for injuries that occur at the race. The costs related to those injuries are the responsibility of the individual participant.

NEW FOR 2024:

New Category Announcement: Monday PIR is introducing the Vintage category this year. Have an old bike laying around? This is for you! we call vintage year 2000 and older! NO CARBON allowed! We have final say if bike is not safe. Two working brakes are a must! No Disc brakes.

ALSO:

Racers who participate in Monday Night PIR races in any category will be entered into a end of season Drawing. The More Races you do the more chances of winning.  Random Nightly raffles will be drawn based off the riders who race and prizes held for the following week.
