The race season is well upon us! Come celebrate the start of the Monday Night PIR season with Team Oregon and Laurelwood Brewing Company on Sunday, April 10th from 4-8PM.

Kick off for the Monday Night Race Series Season at PIR along with introduction of Team Oregon’s Elite Team and celebrate our fantastic sponsor Laurelwood Brewing Company. Taking place on Sunday, April 10th from 4-8PM. We’d like as many Team Oregon members in attendance as possible to have a good showing, plus there’s free snacks and happy hour beer, so what’s not to like?

The event will be Sunday, April 10th from 4-8PM. Upstairs on deck.
Laurelwood Brewing Company, 5115 NE Sandy Blvd Portland, OR 97213, tel: 503-282-0622

This event will be open to the public and OBRA will be invited. Many of our team and event sponsors will be there to promote their products, coaches from Upper Echelon Fitness will be present to talk about clinics and coaching, and there’s a chance for everyone in attendance to win free PIR passes. Other team sponsors will be donating items for a raffle. So don’t miss out! Raffle tickets are free and available that night.

There’s also a Facebook event I created and invited many of you to – be sure to click the “invite people to come” link on the event page and share with your friends.
Here’s the link – SHARE WITH FRIENDS: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=190832020959586

Team Oregon – Organizers of Monday Night PIR Series

Thursday, April 7, 2011 Posted by Jim

Monday Night PIR is organized promoted, and run by the Team Oregon Elite Team.

Since the 1980s, Team Oregon has been one of the premier amateur cycling teams in the state of Oregon. Team Oregon is a completely open team with very basic requirements for membership. We accept new members off all abilities year-round and want to provide a great atmosphere for everyone interested in racing.  We currently have a very active roster of cat 4/5 racers, cat 3 racers, and cat 1/2 racers, and we’re looking to grow our masters, juniors, and women’s teams this season and into the future.

Team Oregon’s Saturday ride leaves every Saturday at 9:00 from Liberty High School in Hillsboro rain or shine. If you’re interested in joining the team, show up for a ride or approach us at a race. We’re happy to share more about the team with you.

Beginning during the 2009 racing season, the team put in place plans to begin and grow an elite team of riders that would be competitive both locally and on a national level. Team Oregon wants to see the elite team grow into the best ground-up developmental team in the state, allowing up-and-coming racers to live up to their full potential as bike racers. Funds raised from PIR racing go to supporting these racers and ensure they have the ability to travel to races.
