Novice Men’s Category Now Open to All Ages!

Tuesday, April 3, 2012 Posted by Adam

Monday Nights at PIR have always been about getting people into bike racing. To that effect, we’ve changed the novice masters men (AKA the beginning men’s category) to be open to all ages rather than age 30+ as it was in previous years.

The Men’s 1/2/3 and Men’s 4/5 field on Mondays will continue to be age 30+ only, but we think that allowing everyone a chance to get into the sport in a very beginner-friendly field and venue is important. This, paired with the clinics held each week immediately before the novice races, make Monday PIR the perfect place to come out and race your bike. If you progress quickly and you’re ready to move beyond the novice field, you’ll have the option of racing the higher category Monday races if you’re age 30+, otherwise the Tuesday night categorized races at PIR are also open to all ages.

The first races of the season are only two weeks away. We hope to see you out there! Check out the schedule and info for everything you need to know about race times, directions, registration, sponsors, prizes, and team and individual passes.
